Hi, I’m Rachael Tiernan

I help businesses, not-for-profits, community organisations and event organisers bring their events to life, creating a community with purpose and leaving their attendees feeling entertained and inspired.

How do I do it?

I work closely with you to understand the goals of the event. I then bring the audience along for the ride, making everyone feel like they belong and naturally weaving the host’s message into my own story.

I bring energy and enthusiasm BUT I know when it’s the right time to create a change in mood, show respect the needs of the topics and pull the focus of the audience.

I have many years’ experience working as an MC and entertainer and understand that the best events are those where the MC is a facilitator and an entertainer, but focuses on the audience and why they’re attending the event.

I’m not a “turn up on the day and leave at the end” kind of girl. When working with an event I am available to help with pre-publicity and follow-up activities like videos and events, to get the most results from your event.

I LOVE the feeling of being able to bring a room of people together to focus solely on what we are there to do – celebrate, commemorate, collaborate – but do it in a way that every person in the room feels they are in the right space at the right time.

I work with organisations large and small across a wide range of industries. I’ve hosted community events for the Commonwealth Games, fundraising events for large not-for-profits and large corporations endeavouring to create change.

What else should you know?

  • I’m versatile  (when a mic breaks I just speak louder)
  • I am flexible (literally – you should see my cartwheels and splits)
  • I am relaxed and happy to ‘go with the flow’
  • I’m not precious – changes that need to be made don’t stress me
  • I make it my goal to deliver the brief and exceed expectations
  • I can sing
  • I can dance
  • I’m prepared to dress up
  • I have considerable experience with audiences of children and adults.

What They Said

Thank you Rachael for the wonderful job you do as MC for our Trivia Night for Make-A-Wish. Your enthusiasm and professionalism are in equal measure, it is a pleasure to work with you for the event.

You ensure the night runs smoothly and take any technical glitches in your stride – you certainly help keep my stress levels at bay. We always receive many compliments for our MC from attendees and get told to “make sure you book her for next year”….we certainly plan to!

We have had the opportunity to have Rachael as our Emcee for two years in a row for the What’s On 4 Kids Conference. Rachael had a flair for entertaining and was very skilled in her ability to engage with the audience.  She was versatile, energetic and had a natural talent for facilitating audience discussions and ensuring the speakers felt valued.
The audience was captivated by her knowledge for the industry and charisma and I would definitely engage and recommend Rachael for future events.

What's On For Kids Conference

I met Rachael for the very first time at the What’s On 4 Junior Awards / Conference this June 2016. Rachael was an absolute delight as a co-host with Allison Grant from Two Flawed Girls.

Not only is Rachael at ease with a microphone in her hand, but it becomes a wand that that uses to entice the audience to relax and participate proactively in anything she suggests. This special ability was demonstrated when in elaborate costume, she had the audience exercising along with her with a pineapple in each hand. Her ageless energy and leadership on stage comes across as if she was born to do just that.

I can without any hesitation recommend Rachael to be your Master of Ceremonies to Star act. Thank you Rachael for being you, a gift of merriment.

I was involved in organising an high tea for a charity called Share the Dignity. This charity raises money and awareness for women in a multitude of unfortunate situations.  This event was attended by 300 women and Rachael filled the position of MC at very short notice. Rach arrived at the event organised and ready to go. I was instantly struck by her high energy and that did not waver the entire day.
She managed the 300 women beautifully and kept the day’s events moving very smoothly. At this particular event we had speakers talking about very delicate topics and Rachael managed this in a very kind and compassionate way.
She has a personable style that kept the audience engaged. Her high energy is infectious and sense of humous is very entertaining. I hope to work with Rach again in future functions.

The generosity of the time that you devote to the community is one thing, but it pales into insignificance behind the effect that your spirit has on everyone in the community. It is amazing to see the effect you have on total strangers, they just get energised with your passion and enthusiasm.

I always find it inspiration to see you in full flight entertaining the crowd. You are a consummate professional.

Rachael is the bright spark to every event. Rachael put the FUN into our Sunday Funday, keeping the full program on a roll and audiences entertained and enthused about everything on offer! From formal introductions, interviews with students, opening performances, announcing key fete activities and even running art auctions, Rachael helped ensure our day ran smoothly!
Rachael is a joy to work with, a true professional with the perfect energetic vibe everyone just LOVES.

This year we had the pleasure of Rachael being our Mcee at our Share The Dignity – DigniTEA. Rachael created an amazing atmosphere with her positive energy which everyone took to. She showed empathy and much interest in our speakers, and such high professionalism when we experienced technical issues. We have received so much positive feedback from our attendees on the day. I would highly recommend Rachael for future Mcee work and look forward to having her work with us again.
